The World Series by Renault is coming to Silverstone on the 20/21 August. If you haven’t been before, it’s a must on the racing calendar. Silverstone took over as host from Donington Park two years ago and last year the event attracted over 130,000 through the gates. On the race card you have races from the UK based Renault Clio Cup and Formula Renault 2.0 plus the two main events, Megan Trophy and Formula Renault 3.5. The Renault Grand Prix team also make an appearance, doing various demonstrations over the weekend by their reserve drivers.
FR 3.5 boast a very strong line up this year with the star attraction being new HRT race driver, Daniel Ricciardo. He will be in his ISR prepared world series car as he tries to catch championship leader Robert Wickens (Virgin Test driver). Other big name in this years championship include Fairuz Fauzy (Renault test driver), Bendon Hartley and Jean-Eric Vergne. With British driver Oliver Webb and Adam Carroll to cheer on there’s plenty of reasons to go along. Not least of which is that the whole weekend is FREE! You can register for up to four tickets for the weekend at http://www.worldseriesbyrenault.fr .
